Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls… Welcome to the big show. The Crappie Expo 2021 and 2021 Mr. Crappie Invitational Classic fishing tournament taking place in Shreveport, Louisiana. It’s the largest crappie event and this year it’s expected to exceed all previous records.

This will be the third annual Crappie Expo with its inaugural event being held in Hot Springs, Arkansas and second at Branson, Missouri. The event is the big show for all and everyone connected to crappie fishing. Plus Mr. Crappie Invitational Classic 2021 is the biggest payout in the crappie fishing tournaments.

What makes the Crappie Expo 2021 so special is Wally Marshall aka Mr. Crappie the mastermind, force, Obi-Wan Kenobi behind the event. “For years and years, I had dreamed of having an event that would rival or exceed any other event in fishing. When the opportunity arose in Hot Springs I jumped in with both feet and now we are going into the third year of the Crappie Expo,” said Wally Marshall founder of Crappie Expo and Crappie Invitational.

It kicks off with the Mr. Crappie Invitational Classic 2021 on September 30th thru October 2nd, 2021 taking place on the Red River in Shreveport, Louisiana. The tournament is expecting to bring in one hundred professional crappie fishing teams from across the United States. Overall purse for the tournament will be $250,000 compared to $200,000 in 2020 and $100,000 in 2019.

Day 1 launch of the Mr. Crappie Invitational Classic 2021 on September 30 is at 7 a.m. with 3 p.m. weigh-in at Red River South Marina parking lot. Everyone is welcome to attend the weigh-in.

Day 2 and 3 (October 1 and 2) launch is at Red River South Marina. Public is welcome to attend.

Day 2 and 3 (Friday and Saturday) weigh-ins are at the Shreveport Convention Center starting at 3 p.m. on the center stage. Chris Jones will be emceeing the event. Tournament winners will be announced and awarded checks on Saturday October 2nd.

Crappie Expo 2021 at the Shreveport Convention Center opens the doors to the public on October 1-3. On Friday the hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Shreveport Convention Center 400 Caddo Street, Shreveport, and LA 71101).

The Crappie Expo features fishing related retailers and companies, in addition to professional angler seminars plus the special meet-the-pros question and answer panel on Saturday with 10 different professional crappie anglers.

Marshall is expecting over 100 exhibitors at the Crappie Expo. Saturday October 2nd, 2021 the World’s Largest Crappie Fry sponsored by RV Cajun Cookers, Savannah Hushpuppies and Riceland Rice Bran Oil. The crappie fry starts at 11 a.m. and lasts until they run out of crappie fillets. All Crappie Expo attendees and vendors are welcome to come and eat at the crappie fry. Note that the fillets for the crappie fry were supplied by anglers throughout the year. Crappie caught during the Mr. Crappie Invitational Classic are released. In addition to the crappie fry there will be live music every day of the Crappie Expo on the center stage before the weigh-ins.
